Ten Minutes of Sitting
Zazen, the practice of just this
Zen tradition
Sit still, spine tall, eyes soft. Follow the breath, and when the mind leaves, come back. That's the entire instruction, unchanged for centuries. Nothing is added because nothing is missing.
How to do it
- 1Sit on a chair or cushion, spine upright
- 2Eyes half closed, gaze soft and low
- 3Count breaths from one to ten, then begin again
- 4When you notice you've drifted, simply return
