Walking Meditation
Kinhin, each step its own arrival
Zen walking practice
Walk slowly enough that each step becomes something you can actually feel: the lift, the swing, the placing down. A hallway is enough. Ten metres is enough. The practice is in the pace, not the distance.
How to do it
- 1Find ten quiet metres, inside or out
- 2Walk at half your normal speed, then halve it again
- 3Feel each foot lift, travel, and land
- 4At the end, turn slowly and return
Good for
