Presence

From 2026 - 2
Place
Fernmount has run as the test site since 2020. Next, a cluster of properties across the Mid North Coast, run on the same model, proving it repeats.

Occupation
The land needs hands. Farming, forestry, bush regeneration, biodiversity and land management, in the regions where the shortages already are.
From 2029 - 4
Policy
As transition payments and UBI arrive, governments need a pathway to send people down. Away is that pathway, licensed to other countries.

How the map is built
Country figures are a modelled scenario. They show direction and scale across 57 economies, and they are not a forecast for any single one. Exposure rates follow published estimates by income group, scaled by workforce size, then spread over time on an adoption curve that arrives first in advanced economies.

Land capacity and Away fit are Away's own working indices. Land capacity reflects productive and restorable land relative to population. Away fit weighs displacement pressure by 2035 against that land.
